The Liberty’s Legacy Educational Support Program is a unique curriculum that strives to stimulate student interest in the history of The Statue of Liberty from its development and construction, to its meaning and legacy. As a result, students gain a clearer understanding of liberty, freedom, responsibility, and service; central patriotic concepts that are the cornerstones of our nation. The Liberty’s Legacy Program combines essential American History with innovative opportunities to support your school by:
- Stimulating student interest in the statue’s history, meaning, symbolism, development, and construction
- Providing a tangible piece of history through our Liberty’s Legacy statues; each containing remnants from the original Statue of Liberty restoration
- Building an understanding of the concepts of liberty, freedom, responsibility, and service and making these fundamental ideas relevant to today’s students
- Serving as an excellent community investment; schools will receive approximately one-third of the sales ($12.00 USD per statue) for student projects, equipment, trips, or other school-related projects
- Supporting the ongoing preservation of The Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island by donating a portion of the Liberty’s Legacy Educational Support Program proceeds to the Statue of Liberty-Ellis Island Foundation, Inc.

Our web site makes ordering easy for everyone including long-distance requests for family and friends who live in other areas. As an alternative to typical door-to-door fundraisers, students, educators and families only need to share this opportunity with their existing network of friends, neighbors, relatives, or coworkers. Interested supporters simply visit the web site and are guided through easy instructions for online ordering. Sales are tracked for each student and each school. Traditional order forms are also available, if preferred.
